A New Resource for Retailers

The Retailers Club is a new initiative just launched by the Government of the Northwest Territories and its partners in travel, education and the Canadian diamond cutting and polishing facilities. To support leading jewellers and sales professionals who are expert in the North and its diamond sector, and to recognize their superior knowledge about government certified diamonds, the Retailers Club will provide those who qualify with helpful diamond sales and service information as well as special marketing and promotional opportunities.

Benefits for Your Business

Everyone who qualifies for membership in the GOVERNMENT CERTIFIED CANADIAN DIAMOND™ Retailer’s Club (“the Club”) is entitled to:

• A Certificate of Designation from the Premier of the Government of the Northwest Territories.
  This distinction sets you apart from other retailers and identifies your business as both an authentic dealer and a source of information on GOVERNMENT CERTIFIED CANADIAN DIAMOND™.
• Special promotional tools including Northern crafts and artwork, special books, maps and more.
• Access to downloadable promotional materials.

• Listing of your company name and contact information on the “Where to Buy” page of our website.
  This will help online customers find your authentic GOVERNMENT CERTIFIED CANADIAN DIAMOND™ retail store in their area. It can also include a link to your website or online store if you have one.
• Access to additional training programs, consumer event opportunities and special prizes.

In addition, the Club opens doors for retailers to play a part in the public awareness campaign.

Please note that jewellers only qualify to become part of the Retailer's Club if they are already authorized to sell government certified Canadian diamonds.

How to Qualify

Diamond retail professionals will be considered for access if they can demonstrate a sound appreciation for diamonds certified by the Government of the Northwest Territories. They must have a strong ability to provide their clients with accurate information about the North and its diamonds. A written test will verify knowledge levels of Canadian diamonds and everyone who passes will receive a special designation that attests to their professional knowledge.
